Connecting this unit to the HDMI ARC terminal on a TV

If the HDMI terminal on your TV supports ARC, connect with HDMI.

When connecting a TV to this unit, turn off the audio output of the TV’s internal speakers. See the owner’s manual of your TV for details.

When connecting the HDMI ARC terminal of this device to your TV, connect it to the HDMI input terminal of your TV that supports the ARC function.

When connecting to a TV that does not support the ARC function, use an Optical connection or a Coaxial connection to play the TV audio. link

While using HDMI ARC for TV connection it is highly recommended for the best volume control experience to use the variable output from this unit to connect to the amplifier. link

NOTE

Only the PCM 2-channel setting can be used to play sound from a TV via the HDMI ARC function. Set “PCM 2ch” as the audio format in the TV settings.

Linear PCM signals with a sampling frequency of 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, 176.4 kHz, or 192 kHz can be input into this unit.

Do not input non-PCM signals, such as Dolby Digital, DTS and AAC. This causes noise and could damage the speakers.
